BEFORE YOUR BROW APPOINTMENT:

Pre care instructions are designed to limit bleeding and sensitivities during the procedure. Excessive bleeding can result in dilution of pigment or poor retention.

  • Thoroughly read the FAQ, Policies, and Pre & Post Care Instructions.

  • 24 hours prior to your appointment, DO NOT DRINK ALCOHOL or CAFFEINE.

  • 72 hours prior to your appointment, DO NOT TAKE ADVIL or other blood thinners such as Ibuprofen, Aspirin, Niacin or Vitamin E unless medically necessary.

  • Do not workout 24 hours before procedure.

  • If you take fish oil, discontinue use 7 days prior to procedure. You can resume after procedure is done.

  • Avoid Prenatal Vitamins, Nutritional Shakes (Shakeology, etc), "Hair, Skin, Nail" supplements 48 hours prior to procedure.

  • Discontinue Retin-A at least 4 weeks prior.

  • Avoid Chemical Peels, Microdermabrasion or facials for 4-weeks prior to procedure.

  • Botox fillers should be done at least 2 weeks before.

  • No brow waxing, tinting, or threading 2 weeks prior. It is not necessary to do your brows prior, the more hair the better.

  • Avoid booking during your menstrual cycle as it can increase your pain.

  • Wear your normal brow makeup to the procedure. This will help us determine the best shape/shade for you.

  • Be prepared for your brows to look a little red and really dark! – don’t worry, they will fade in color 20%-40%

  • YOU MUST NOT BE SUN TANNED OR BURNED ON THE FACE. I CANNOT PROCEED WITH YOUR SERVICE. A sun tan/burn is injury to the skin, as the skin is healing itself it will shed all the top layers. This means the pigment will not stay. Deposits are NON-REFUNDABLE, please plan accordingly.

  • There is a 14 day healing period where we ask that you not be heavily exposed to sun, exercise, swim, or submerge your brows in water. Please keep this in mind when booking your appointment.

  • You will be asked to Receive or Waive the allergy test when you submit your forms. (PLEASE CALL TO ARRANGE ALLERGY TEST)

  • All your questions regarding the design of your cosmetic tattoo (color, shape, placement etc.) will be addressed by the Artist prior to commencing your procedure. I will not start the service until you have approved the design and are ready to begin. Please keep in mind, per the state of Georgia, any body artist can refuse service to any individual, at any time, and for any reason. I want both our client and myself to be comfortable and willing participants in the service. The Cosmetic Tattoo Artist makes the final decision to tattoo an individual at her own discretion.

  • PLEASE BE READY FOR YOUR APPOINTMENT. I work on a strict schedule and allow 3 hours per appointment. This includes answering questions you may have, mapping brow and procedure. It is important that you trust my artistry and work. Do not book your appointment if you are hesitant, unsure, or apprehensive about changing your natural brows. Book when you are 100% ready for your new brows. I understand everyone is a little bit nervous but this creates a safe space for both you and the artist, allowing me to do my best work in creating your new brows!

AFTER YOUR BROW APPOINTMENT:

Now that I've done my part, it is up to you to take good care of your brows so that they heal properly and keep their color. Here are some guidelines to protect your investment. Aftercare accounts for 50% or more of your end result!

FINAL RESULTS ARE DIRECTLY AFFECTED BY HOW CLOSELY YOU FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS.
There is no down time for Cosmetic Tattooing, however, the area may be red and tender and I recommend that you do not plan any social activities afterwards. This is NOT a quick fix beauty treatment and you have to be prepared to endure all the healing stages of Cosmetic Tattooing. Please note that your brows will appear darker and more intense than expected for the first few days (20-40% darker). They may also look thicker in shape. This is completely normal as the excess pigment is sitting on top of your skin. This will gradually fade during the healing process. The final results are NOT meant to stay as dark as your brows appear immediately after procedure is finished.

AFTER CARE INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Blot excess Lymph Fluid with clean Kleenex Every 3-5 minutes for the first hour **This is important to prevent a buildup that will cause for heavy scabbing, which in return will not give you the best color retention.

  2. Gently wash brows the night of the procedure with non scented baby shampoo and rinse off with water. Gently pat dry with a cotton round/square or tissue (Do not use a towel to dry brows). Once brows are fully dried gently apply aquaphor (a quarter of a pea size on each brow). Use a cotton swab or clean finger to apply the ointment, again very gently.

  3. Days 2-14: Gently wash your brows with non scented baby shampoo, rinse with water and apply aquaphor in the MORNING and EVENING following the same direction listed in step 2.

FOR ALL 14 DAYS

  • DO NOT WET BROWS in any way besides when they are being cleaned in the morning and evening. Make sure to keep brows dry while showering (wash hair last, keeping head tilted back so the water doesn’t run towards your brows). Wash your face in the sink, using only a damp cloth to cleanse around the brows. Normal washing routine can be used for the lower half of your face (from the eyes down).

  • NO SWEATING DURING THE 14 DAYS. This is to avoid an infection in the freshly tattooed area. Remember, sweat and dirt can accumulate round the brow hair. An infection can lead to scarring and low color retention. Also sweat will cause low retention.

  • NO RUBBING, SCRATCHING, PICKING at the area. Try to sleep on your back as much as possible. Rubbing the brows on the pillow/sheets can lead to premature fallout of the scabs and low retention.

  • NO SUN EXPOSURE

  • NO OTHER PRODUCTS ON THE BROWS and forehead area for 14 days. This includes makeup, oils, soaps, or any other products.

AFTER THE 14 DAYS
Congratulations! You have survived!! You are now able to resume your normal cleansing/makeup routine.
On day 15, wash the brows very gently with baby shampoo. You may continue to use the ointment if the brows feel dry or itchy. You may also apply makeup if needed. Remember, your brows will appear very, very light and patchy immediately after the flaking fall off. The color will continue to darken over the next few weeks.

WHAT TO EXPECT IN THE NEXT 30 DAYS**

Days 2-5 Brows will darken as the scabs form over the newly pigmented area. They will appear VERY DARK. Don’t panic!
Days 5-14 The scabs will harden and fall off in small to medium chunks. The fronts and tails of the brows usually fall off first. Let the scabs fall off on their own! DO NOT PULL THEM OFF!!
Days 10-14 The brows will look very, very light after the flaking comes off. This is normal!
Days 15-30 The brows will continue to darken each week, and will appear patchy at times. Again, this is normal. It takes about a month for the brows to fully heal. Any adjustments to the brows will be done at your follow-up, so don’t forget to book!
** This timeline is typical, but not definite. If your brows take a little longer to heal, don’t worry. Every skin is different.
CLEAN and EXFOLIATE the brow area once a week once fully healed (4 week) to maintain the brows looking fresh. Remember, the pigment is underneath the skin, and if you let dead skin cells build up over the area, the pigment will appear dull and very light. Keeping the skin in the area moisturized will also help the tattoo appear vibrant and dark!

AFTER YOUR LIP BLUSHING APPOINTMENT:

Now that I've done my part, it is up to you to take good care of your lips so that they heal properly and keep their color. Here are some guidelines to protect your investment. Aftercare accounts for 50% or more of your end result!

Swelling is normal after the procedure. If you would like to apply an icepack after you leave, we recommend that ice packs be applied for 10 minuets at a time following the procedure. Swelling will subside within 24 hrs.

Cleansing the First two Days: For the first evening and morning following your treatment, blot the treated area with provided antiseptic wipes after eating. On the second day, blot the treated area two times, morning and evening or after eating, again ONLY with with antiseptic wipes provided.

During those first 48 hours the treated area can ONLY be cleansed with the antiseptic wipes provided to you. No water or other cleansers of any kind can be used for any reason.

*If required to wear a mask be sure to change to a clean mask every hour of the first 3 days.

*IMPORTANT*
It is normal to be excited about your new lips; however do not touch, pick, peel, tamper, scratch, rub, injure or remove the peeling in any way, you will damage the color and affect the retention. Let the skin naturally go through the healing and recovery process by applying only the moisturizer provided. No Makeup around the lip area.

A very thin layer of provided A&D ointment should be applied consistently throughout the day to the treatment area using a fresh Q-tip (do NOT use mineral oil or any petroleum products such as Vaseline.) Applying too much ointment can lead to fading, so a think layer goes a long way. This will keep the area moist and accelerate the healing process. Do not let the area dry out and crack, keep it moist at all time. Do not press or rub aggressively when applying ointment.

Apply a ticker coat of ointment to the treated area only before bathing, washing of areas near the mouth, and right when you wake up inn the morning. When brushing  your teeth fro the first five days, use a minimal amount of toothpaste. Toothpaste and mouthwash are considered “soap” and will remove lip color.

WHAT TO EXPECT:
Day 1-2
Your lips will appear darker the following 2 days and feel very dry even with ointment on.

Day 3-5 Lips will start to flake. Do not touch and keep them moisturized with ointment provided. The flaking process will take 1-3 days on average.

Day 10 Lips are fully healed. You can apply makeup around the lip area and you can stop using the ointment provided and switch to a gloss or chapstick if you like.

Day 1-45 Lip coloration will be changing dramatically. They will appear completely gone at some point. Be patient and trust the process.. It takes about 40-45 days for the end result color.

DURING THE NEXT 10 DAYS

  • Do not touch, bite, lick, peel, tamper, rub, injure or remove the peeling in any way, if you do, you will experience a loss of color.

  • Do not let any sweat, water, lotion/moisturizer, serums, soap, or makeup touch the treated area.

  • Abstain from any physical activity that causes sweating.

  • Use a straw when drinking liquids; avoid biting into foods that might cause friction to the lips. No spicy food & drink colored, hot, or cold things through a straw,

  • No foreign body fluids/kissing.

  • Do not use any lipsticks/lip gloss or cosmetics on or near the treated area

DURING THE NEXT 14+ DAYS

  • NO massages, facials, waxing, threading, laser or skin treatments.

  • NO smoking/vaping

  • DO NOT expose the area to unsanitary or dirty conditions.

IMPORTANT FOR LONG TERM RESULTS

  • Do not smoke/vape as it will give you undesirable results by altering the color.

  • Do not put any anti-aging or acne lotions/moisturizers, serums or face washes on the lips.

  • Always let your technician/esthetician know you have a lip tattoo when doing peels, laser, facials etc to prevent anything from ruining or altering the lip tattoo.

PLEASE NOTE: Cosmetic Tattooing is a multiple-step appointment process. Healed results will vary with each individual client, and due to the nature of the procedure, NO guarantees will be made. Additional sessions (at an additional charge) may be required to obtain optimal desired results. Although I give my best efforts to provide you with quality service, many factors can result in a less than desired outcome as each client will heal differently. In order for your new brows to heal properly (and look their very best) following all Pre & Post Care Instructions is crucial! Pre Care Instructions are designed to limit bleeding and skin sensitivities during the service. Excessive bleeding during the procedure can dilute and expel the pigment color and lead to poor results. Brows are NOT meant to stay as dark as they initially appear immediately after procedure. Your brows are gradually and continuously getting lighter as your skin is always naturally regenerating and exfoliating itself. Color boost are recommended to keep your brows looking their best.
