How Brow Therapy was born….

Christina Chapman

Owner + Master Brow Artist

20 years ago Christina started in the beauty industry as a Makeup Artist. Her love for the art of making woman feel confident and beautiful was what drove her further into the beauty industry. The connections that were made is what kept Christina going for all of these years.

While going through college, Christina worked as a Makeup Artist. After finishing her bachelors degree she still had that same passion and excitement for beauty that she started with when she was 18. So, Christina decided to keep pursing her love for the beauty industry and go to cosmetology school where she got her license in Hair, Skin, and Nails. From there on Christina continued working at a salon doing Hair and freelancing as a Makeup Artist, doing Weddings and Editorial Photoshoots throughout South Florida. Perfecting and continuously learning her craft was her upmost importance. But nothing was more important to her than making connections with her clients.

Along the way Christina moved to Chicago, got married and became a mother to 2 children. Being a mother has been the most rewarding and the hardest job by far. Having her children is the reason why Christina’s Cosmetic Tattooing journey began.

As a mother you have very little time for yourself. Especially the first few years of your child’s life, whether you work or stay at home with your children. Half of the time you don’t know if you are awake or asleep. Christina’s usual morning beauty routine consisted of her throwing her hair up in a mom bun, filling in her eyebrows and putting on mascara as quickly as possible so she wouldn’t look like a complete hot mess (I know there are a lot of you out there that know the same feeling). Even this daily routine became a hassle for her. Christina started hearing about the new trend of “Microblading” and kept pushing it off till one day, she just did it. The only thing she was kicking myself for, was not doing it sooner, because It was the best beauty service she had ever done. The feeling it gave her surpassed her expectations of what she thought it would do for her. Getting her hair, nails and/or makeup done is nice but doesn’t compare to the feeling of going to bed and waking up looking refreshed, well rested and even younger looking. All because her brows perfectly framed her face. Christina no longer needed to fill in her brows, or worry about it coming off and waste precious time. Because of how an eyebrow tattoo made her feel, she wanted to give other woman that same feeling she felt and still feels to this day about her own eyebrows. So, Christina decided to adventure into a new route in the Beauty Industry and that is how Brow Therapy was born……

Christina truly believes and love this industry. It’s not just an eyebrow tattoo for her like it may be for other brow artist. When you come to Brow Therapy you’re not only connecting with someone who’s felt what you’ve felt but you are also connecting with someone who understands. You will walk out of Brow Therapy not as a client but as a friend. I know something as small as an eyebrow will make you feel better and make it easier for your daily life as it does for mine. If there’s one thing we know about being women at Brow Therapy, it is. When you feel good about yourself, everything else seems a little bitter easier to conquer.
